Almere has several shopping malls where the real shopping lover can shop to his heart’s content. You can go to the spacious city centre, which houses all the top brands, which was even declared shopping city of the year in 2019 and is also the largest shopping area in the Netherlands!

In addition to the city centre, Almere also has smaller shopping centres such as Almere Haven and Almere Buiten. When it comes to housing and accessories, you can go to ‘DoeMere’ in Almere Buiten.

All shopping centres are within easy reach. The stations are within walking distance of the shops and there is plenty of parking space everywhere for your car and bike. In addition, cyclists can park their bikes free of charge in the parking facilities of Fietswacht Almere in the Stadshart.

If you want to take a break after a long day of shopping, you can take a seat at one of the many cosy terraces in Almere, such as Almere Haven in the harbour basin. Here you will find both cafes and top restaurants. The harbour basin of Almere Haven is perfect for an evening out, and it also offers a beautiful view of the harbour behind it, the Gooimeer.

Also nice shopping is in Amsterdam, Lelystad, Amersfoort or Utrecht. In Lelystad is Bataviastad where you will find all the outlets of well-known clothing brands.
